Are bowler hats cool, or will it just look ridiculous?

I'm wondering if I can make it work with the right outfit and right attitude. I saw them at H&M which makes me think they might be coming back, but I haven't worn one in years. Also I hate douches in top hats, so think I might come off looking similar.
