Can I fight a school staff member?

I'm a freshman in high school and I have the HARDEST subject in my life...PHYSICAL SCIENCE. This is the 6 week of school and I'm failing. It's only two people in the whole entire school ping that cl. I have a TOUGH subject and a HARD teacher. Ok my grade point average in PS is 44. I now have a science project that's worth 50 POINTS! I'm gonna lay off my PS3 and take time to do that project because that will put me around a 79( I think) Now the project is I gotta find the fifth state of matter. Now I went to I can do it all on internet but it also has to be done by book(encyclopedia) The encyclopedia part is hard. Because I don't own a encyclopedia. I need that encyclopedia to get FULL CREDIT. What good is 20 points to me? Now I was in the library this one guy came outta nowhere in the blue asking me why are you here? where are you coming from? I said I need an encyclopedia to do a project. I'm coming from music cl. I said Did he send me down here? I said No. Then guy says okay go back to cl. Then I said we have a substitute Then bull says Okay that's nice to know like he don't care. Maybe if I told him my situation he'll let me do my DAMN job.
