I accidentally spilled some water on my laptop?

Last night, some water got on my laptop. I immideatly wiped it up. The speakers made some crakling noise and the mouse pad wasnt responding. I left it to dry over night. I turned it on this morning and I think one of the F keys locked up, it takes me straight to a start up menu and makes a loud noise. No more crackling noise. Right now, I have the battery out, it's unplugged, and I'm just having it dry some more. How worried should I be?
